New Definitive Stamps

India Post issued three new Rs. 5 definitive stamps on Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, and Shyama Prasad Mukhopadhyay. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and Mualana Abul Kalam Azad, both were a political leader and an activist during the Indian Freedom Movement.Dr. Ram Monohar Lohia was an academician and a politician known for his role in quit Indian movement.
Adul Kalam Azad was the Minister of Education and it was during his term that Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) was established.
Shyama Prasad Mukhopadhyay was a politician, barrister and a Minister of Industry and Supply in Nehru’s cabinet. Later after falling out the Indian National Congress he started a new ‘Bharitya Jana Party’ which later came to be known as the ‘Bharatiya Janata Party ‘ (BJP).
